Eager Valravn riders have raised $73,000 to be the first to ride Cedar Point's newest coaster.

All of the money will be given to the LeBron James Family Foundation, which keeps kids from James' hometown of Akron in school. The park and the foundation also teamed up last year at the Rougarou's debut which netted $126,000 to benefit the kids.

Tickets for the first riders ranged from $500 to $75.

There's a way to be the first to ride the Valravn at Cedar Point a full two days before the park opens for the season.

Cedar Point and the LeBron James Family Foundation are hosting their First Rider Benefit on Thursday, May 5. Tickets to the benefit are $75 each, but there's a $500 option for those who want to ride in the front row.

All proceeds from the benefit will go to the foundation, which helps keep kids in school. Last year's First Rider Benefit for the Rougarou raised $126,000 for the charity.

The Valravn will be the world's tallest, longest and fastest dive coaster in the world when it officially opens May 7 for Valravn World Premiere weekend.
