Bloom Artisan Bakery & Café
has opened its second location today, joining the original shop at 200 Public Square that opened in March. In addition to turning out premium breads, pastries, soups and sandwiches, both Bloom bakeshops support Towards Employment
’s goal of creating pathways out of poverty for thousands of individuals by providing meaningful opportunities for work, achievement and self-sufficiency.
“Bloom Bakery is pioneering the combination of a social mission with a best-in-class business model in the baking industry,” says GM Logan Fahey. “The intended outcome of this revolutionary concept is threefold: changing people’s lives by providing them with jobs, elevating the Cleveland food scene to a new level and giving back to the entire community. After opening Bloom Bakery’s Public Square location to rave reviews, we couldn’t be more excited to open our second site and give even more people the opportunity taste our delicious food.”
More than just a bakery with a cause, Bloom strives to offer high-quality artisan baked goods that are on par with conventional for-profit businesses. To that end, European baking specialist Maurice Chaplais has overseen the process from the start.
“From creating the perfect New York-style bagel to perfecting a croissant recipe that rivals any Parisian café, Bloom Bakery isn’t cutting corners when it comes to superior taste,” explains Chaplais. “It has been a pleasure to work with a team that is so committed to showcasing the art of baking.”
Bloom Artisan Bakery & Café is located at 1938 Euclid Avenue and is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays.
