Local Film Fest Looking for a Few Good 'Adventuresome' Films

Organizers for the annual On the Edge Film Festival, which shows “adventuresome films,” have announced that this year’s festival will take place on Friday, Oct. 14, and Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Breen Center for the Performing Arts in Ohio City.

Local filmmakers are encouraged to submit “exciting ‘edge of your seat’ adrenaline movies, enlightening world culture films, adventure stories that depict travels or personal journeys and films on all aspects of the environment, including nature and sustainability."



Categories include extreme sport, adventure, world culture and environment as features, shorts, short shorts or animations. Local filmmakers receive a special discount.  The early bird submission deadline is May 9; the official submission deadline is June 30 and the late submission deadline is July 31 . 

We welcome readers to submit letters regarding articles and content in Cleveland Scene. Letters should be a minimum of 150 words, refer to content that has appeared on Cleveland Scene, and must include the writer's full name, address, and phone number for verification purposes. No attachments will be considered. Writers of letters selected for publication will be notified via email. Letters may be edited and shortened for space.
