EST Fest, the dubious Mecca of Machine Gun Kelly fans, might be held in Butler, Ohio, at something called Ohio Dreams action sports campground in August, according to Cleveland.com
. We say "might," because past years have reminded us that the MGK crew is nothing if not slippery with its information.
We reported last year on the bizarre case of EST Fest 2014
, in which hundreds of thousands of dollars in ticket sales went missing. That event was held at Nelson Ledges Quarry Park. Earlier this year, MGK announced that EST would return to Nelson, and the park quickly pounced on that phony news. From the park's Facebook page: "Despite multiple efforts to reach out to those organizing this event, not only has no contract been signed, but there have been no efforts to return our calls or respond in any way." Business as usual from Cleveland's hometown star.
The EST Fest 2014 money remains missing, despite ongoing and multifaceted efforts at figuring out what the hell happened that weekend.
Anyway. The festival's allegedly happening Aug. 5 and 6, though no bands or musicians have been announced. NEOMG's Troy Smith notes, however: "The festival has sold more than 1,150 tickets, at $120 each so far, according to Eventbrite." How or why, we can't explain. Have a ball, everyone.
