This July Fourth weekend, you have any number of festive ways in which to celebrate. One of those should be celebrating with us.
Saturday July 2 and Sunday July 3, Scene, Liquid, Tru Events, and Halo Live are taking over the Warehouse District at the corner of West 6th and St. Clair for Rock the Lot.
The outdoor celebration will feature music and entertainment, food trucks and vendors, and, for those 21 and up, a beer garden. The event is family-friendly, open to all ages, and admission is free. The party runs noon-midnight both days.
All the info you need, including musical lineup and schedule (Sugar Ray headlines at 8 p.m. Saturday; Rodney Atkins at 6 p.m. on Sunday, fyi), can be found at the Rock the Lot website.
The participating food trucks and vendors:
Food: Fire Truck Pizza Co., Fire House Grilling Co., Fired Up Taco Truck, Helio Terra, River Dog Café, Sides to Go, Sweet Spot, and Slyman’s Tavern.
Vendors: Foundry Woodprints, High Pockets, In the 216.
Beer and Sprits: 312 of Chicago, Best Damn Brewing Co., Goose IPA, and Bud Light, Jose Cuervo, Kraken, Malibu, Stoli, Three Olives, and Tin Cup.
