The soon-to-open Whole Foods market in Akron will be the first of its kind in Ohio, serving the same products, but with a more unusual approach.
The so-called '365 Market,' opening Sept. 14, is geared toward millennials, so naturally an app is involved. This new market will include in-store app communication, lower prices, a rewards program and carbon-dioxide powered refrigerators — features which are unavailable at all other Ohio Whole Foods locations, including the three Cleveland area spots.
Akron's Artisan Coffee will also set up shop inside Whole Foods, so customers can enjoy a beverage (and perhaps post an Instagram picture?) while browsing the store.
“Whole Foods Market 365 is where high quality meets value —the store will provide a streamlined shopping experience focused on convenience and quality for all shoppers, from college students to families," Whole Foods regional president Scott Allshouse told WKYC
