Cleveland police have arrested 22-year-old Deonta Houston in connection with the shooting death of a Lyft driver Sunday night, according to Homa Bash.

Mourice Foster, 32, was driving a passenger home around midnight on the east side near Olympia and Wayside when a car pulled up beside his and opened fire. A motive is unclear at the moment as details are sparse. The passenger was also hit with a gunshot in the arm, according to WEWS. She was transported to UH and was said to be in good condition.

Houston himself showed up to UH later when he drove another man, who had a gunshot wound to the stomach, to the hospital. He was apprehended there.

Lyft released a statement to the station, saying, "We are horrified to learn of this incident, and are deeply saddened by what is being described. We’re continuing to gather information and stand ready to assist law enforcement in their investigation."
