For the 25th time, Great Lakes Brewing Co. will once again release its popular seasonal Christmas Ale. The tapping party goes down Thursday, Oct. 26 (yes, days before Halloween even hits) during the annual First Pour Christmas Ale event at the brewery's Ohio City headquarters.

Expect plates of Brewnuts, a DJ, people in Santa costumes and extremely long lines at the event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. that day.

Want to be the first to taste the holiday brew this year? Head to and submit a favorite photo of the spicy beverage by Monday, Oct. 16. The person deemed to have the best photo will get that sweet initial taste at the upcoming party.

For those with a bit of patience, Christmas Ale will soon be available in bottles at your friendly local convenient and grocery stores starting Monday, Oct. 30.

Great Lakes is also offering Christmas Ale First Pour events in Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Madison, Dayton and Ann Arbor.
