Think of this as Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,
except instead of a small-town grudge, it's a major American city attempting to poach one of the world's biggest athletes.
that Power Home Remodeling Group, a company based out of Chester, Penn., has taken over three billboards
along the I-480 highway in an attempt to lure LeBron James to the 76ers basketball team.
One billboard places James' 23 alongside the numbers of the rest of the Sixers' starting roster. The remaining two feature the words "Trust the Process," a reference to Joel Embiid's cathphase, as well as "#PhillyWantsLebron."
The signs have gone up in midst of rumors that James might leave the Cavs at the end of the season. Speaking to Philly Voice
, Asher Raphael, CEO at Power, decided to try the Frances McDormand strategy after realizing Lebron's move to Philadelphia was a real possibility.
"This would be the best situation for him," he says. "He could win championships here, the fans are great and it would be good for the NBA."
