The Latin grocery store La Plaza Marketplace, home to some of the most authentic street tacos in all of Cleveland, has set its sights on expansion this year.

As the food obsessed already know, no matter the time of day, the line for tacos, tortas and other Mexican delicacies in the back corner of the market is long, and available table space sparse. Now the grocery store, opened by Adrian and Theresa Ortega in 2011, is expanding to a larger taqueria space at the front of the building. It's set to include more indoor and outdoor seating.

Cleveland.com reported the tentative opening date is May.

For those who haven't visited yet, besides insanely delicious tacos, the market also offers Latin-themed spices, cheeses, tortillas and a fully-stocked butcher counter. The new taco stand will also offer homemade frozen fruit popsicles called paletas.

The business is still open during construction.
