Last year, reps from Destination Cleveland went to the Great American Beer Festival to promote Cleveland’s burgeoning craft brewing industry.
This year, they’re headed back to the festival, which takes place next month in Denver, and they’ll take a special Cleveland collaboration brew with them.
Dubbed Shoreway IPA, it’s a “hazy, easy drinker” that “exudes aromas and flavors of tropical fruits with a hint of pine.” Bookhouse Brewing, Brick and Barrel, Butcher and the Brewer, Collision Bend Brewing Company, Fat Head’s Brewery + Beer Hall, Goldhorn Brewery, Great Lakes Brewing Company, Hansa Brewery, the Jolly Scholar, Market Garden Brewery, Masthead Brewing Co., Noble Beast Brewing Co., Platform Beer Co., Sibling Revelry Brewery, Willoughby Brewing Co. and Working Class Brewery all contributed to the brewing process.
“Participating in last year’s Great American Beer Festival gave Destination Cleveland the opportunity to pique visitors’ interest in Cleveland’s craft beer scene,” says Emily Lauer, senior director PR/Communications, Destination Cleveland, in a press release. “With new offerings at our booth this year, we hope to elevate Cleveland’s reputation as a craft beer destination.”
In addition to sharing information about the region’s growing craft beer scene, Destination Cleveland reps will distribute the recently launched Cleveland Brewery Passport and host a drawing for a “beercation” to Cleveland.
A keg of the Shoreway IPA will be tapped at 3 p.m. on Friday at Terrestrial Brewing Company
, and the Facebook post
about the event says growlers will be welcomed. The beer will be available at Terrestrial for a limited time.
