Longtime E Street Band multi-instrumentalist Nils Lofgren first joined Neil Young’s band when he 18 years old and performed on the classic After the Gold Rush album. Lofgren then formed the rock band Grin in 1971 and released four critically lauded LPs with that group.

He’s been a member of Springsteen’s E Street Band since 1984 and has issued a number of solo records during that time too.

Touring in support of a new solo album that's due out in April, Lofgren comes to the Kent Stage at 8 p.m. on May 16. He’ll be backed by a full band; the jaunt represents his first band tour in more than 15 years.

Gold Circle tickets cost $50, and reserved seats will set you back $35. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday.
