We now know the date for the Super Mario Kart go kart racing event, which announced a Cleveland stop last month with an unknown date.

The event group known as Mushroom Rally USA brings the race to Northeast Ohio Sept. 14. Its exact destination, however, is still under wraps, except that the track will be "approximately 40 minutes south of Downtown Cleveland."

For the uninitiated, participants, dressed as their favorite Mario Kart characters, are set to compete at a pop-up go kart race track for stars, bragging rights and a chance to even race in Las Vegas.

The race was originally only scheduled for Columbus and Cincinnati (among other cities nationwide), but fan feedback brought the addition of a Cleveland stop, and thank goodness.

Tickets, as predicted from other markets, is going to be $55.

The event begins at 9 a.m., and you can sign up right here.
