ICYMI, the Cleveland Police Union is attempting to get officer Timothy Loehmann, the rookie officer who shot and killed Tamir Rice in 2014, his job back.

Loehmann was fired by the City of Cleveland not for killing Tamir — for which former County Prosecutor Timothy McGinty failed to indict him or his partner Frank Garmback — but for lying on his application.

Tamir Rice's mother Samaria Rice dropped off petitions at Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association (CPPA) headquarters earlier this week, asking that President Jeff Follmer desist in his attempts to get Loehmann rehired.

Michigan Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib responded appropriately to the news on social media.
