The local indie rock act Jivviden
has just announced that its latest effort, Let It Ride
, will serve as the final chapter of the band’s Bunker Sessions.
Recorded at both the band’s warehouse on Cleveland’s east side and So Good Sounds, a home studio on the west side, Let it Ride
displays the band’s “softer, yet vibrant side.” With their nasally vocals, songs such as “Bare Bed Sage” and the title track have a gritty Dylan-esque quality to them.
At 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at Lake Affect Studios, the band will play a release party. At the show, it’ll also issue a limited first-issue run of 50 copies of the album on CD.
Jivviden, the Buffalo Ryders and Dire Wolf will all perform at the concert, which will also serve as a send-off as the band preps for a trip to Austin to record at the Wonder Chamber, the studio where acts such as Bill Callahan and Okkervil River have recorded.
Tickets to the concert cost $10.
