Bad Tom Smith's Cleveland outpost, which opened in December 2017 in Ohio City in what had previously been the Weenie a Go Go space, has permanently closed.

The full announcement below:

It is with great regret that we inform our Cleveland friends that effective immediately, we have permanently closed our Ohio City Brewery & Tap Room. The impact and unpredictability of Covid-19 have prevented us from seeing a sustainable path forward in Cleveland.

We have truly enjoyed creating new friendships and serving our craft beer & bourbon to each of you. It has been a pleasure in being part of the Ohio City community. Incredible people and brewing friends. It has not always been easy over the last 4 years, but the communities passion for great craft beer helped us overcome any challenges we have encountered.

Our closure in Cleveland does not impact our operation in Cincinnati. While we have taken a step back in closing our brewery in Cleveland, we only look forward to continued growth in the Cincinnati & Madisonville communities.

We again thank you for your patronage and for giving an out of town brewery a chance to share our beers & bourbons with you. While we cannot serve you in Cleveland any longer, we ask that you make a little extra effort to support our food partner, Pizza Whirl and local Ohio City breweries like Bookhouse Brewing & Hansa Brewery. In todays world, while there is a real joy in working to create a great product, each day is a struggle in sharing their great food & beers with you.

If you are ever in Cincinnati, we will have a pint of Bad Ass In A Glass waiting for you.

God Bless, Bad Tom Smith
